excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 27 - last day
Wow! So today is the last Grabungstag we spend on this dig!
morning we made ourselves comfortable finished - we need only take breakfast, lunch as we were invited by the city to eat in the castle restaurant!
Before the morning break, Sam worked, Miri and I harmoniously side by side and found some nice finds ...
In the morning break - full sun by the way! - We found out that Sam actually writes books and has published a has! Wow! Do I have to look at opportunity times!
I took a nap and made photosynthesis XD, just like Mary and Katrina, Miri and Sam were talking about writing and eventually began to Miri to catalog the finds - a task that was assigned to her Mary.
As a replacement for Miri, a young woman named Teresa to us in the cut and dug with there.
We joked around a bit, dawdling and had fun until it was time for cooperation areas.
So we cleared, we knocked the dust off his pants and waited for the representatives of the city that we would indeed run for a meal!
A gentleman from the Building Department and an architect who already been there, was also arrived, along with Mary's boss, Mr Beranger. Dr. Best was still stuck in traffic ...
We sat so all in the restaurant, the Construction Office man gave a little speech ("grateful ... thank you ... hope you enjoyed ... grateful ..."), then we ordered food and drink (I took as some others still the most expensive on the menu - a little guilty, we already had, but that sounded best ...), talked with each other and with the ladies and gentlemen, was greeted by Dr. Best and finally we ate.
for the high price the food was then quite pathetic ... As always at such restaurants ... But we were having a little dessert after all tired and sad at the end of our leave of each other!
We may run us so again on the way?
Well, we went home, packed up and cleaned up bissi, we rested from us, I made salad, and now it goes off then the Heia!
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 26
This night was quite uneventful and went as the morning ritual as usual, except that today I took the bread from yesterday.
We started well - to work immediately, which led to some interesting discoveries and insights - for a Ausruhpause! Samuel studied in Bielefeld history in the 7th Semester and has at least one brother!
gone up in the morning break, Miri and me on the tower at all times to be seen from above! Wow! What a view!
Then Miri and I worked a while for two further, because Samuel was called for surveying services! * Giggle *
An elderly man who, as Maria told us after the well-largest living expert on Sparrenburg (Hobbymäßig!) told us some things about what we dug up!
lunch we sat in the sun and then to Miri was about to write the diary for today, as I own more pieces of pipe, Bone, broken glass and piles of nails pulled out of the ground, we stopped a little earlier, because two men were still taking group photos ...
Then we went home to rest, do eat meat and Spätzel MozzaTommiSalat, and more chilling, and now you go to bed! More photos (and one probably. More text) come tomorrow!
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 25 Yesterday around midnight - I was almost asleep - suddenly goes right past our house before a fire! Miri wakes up frightened and called first "Help! It burns! "Because of the rain, pattering on the window really sounds like a fire!
With two cars and two riders - Mary and Uli (?) - Was our first trip to Spennymoor where we Warburg - an old mansion with a gatehouse, moat and outbuildings - visited. This is precisely reconstructed from scratch, since all the beams rotten sind.Durch the proximity to the river means all digging deeper than 20 cm. already underwater archeology! As we all saw
only from outside, from inside: Interesting wallpaper, spider webs and mold collection!
addition, many pottery and interesting architectural details!
Dr. Best told us the whole drove, but then continued to fail when we started again.
came after a nine hour drive and a little nap on my side we Barkhausen at near Porta Westfalica.
where archaeologists believe the residents that they have discovered a Roman camp!
Except for some metal finds and a millstone but they can not show on, which would indicate ... We all marveled at the smooth excavation area and the care with which the local diggers worked the soil. With us it would be impossible because of the many stones!
We watched the bustle for a while, got some interesting details of the excavation director says and gave each a stone (as if we had not enough of them ...).
Then, just before coming down even the rain fell, we started again!
On the way home I daydream while I dreamily watched the pouring rain ...
Uli dropped us off right outside the door and I was like a serving of spaghetti. The others had all already had their sandwiches squashed, that is not hungry anymore ...
garnished with basil, tomato and Parmesan I said Teigwürmer eats and then sat down at the computer to congratulate Patrick for Geburzeltag! Finally, he will become an adult today!
Miri went alone to the historical museum (I did not feel attracted to rotten piece ...), Piri and Sophia is also available in the city and even afternoon before Katrina ever missing a trace!
Lonely I watched again and again taunted storm, they ausregneten and then the sun peeked out again!
Miri came back, but had already eaten, so I made me a quick banana pancakes (banana splash, add flour and milk, rumschieben in the pan until it reasonably appears at all, enjoy!)
Now, after yet another storm It is again time for bed, finally you have to / should we have set for 1 ½ days! Tomorrow it is to say again out of bed at 6:30! Juhu -.-
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 24
Today again a short blog: In the morning everything as before, but as of today we have two excavators: Samuel and a woman whose name I do not know!
The weather today was so inconsistent, we took many breaks and only worked until about 14:30 clock. Then went Miri, Kathrian and I drink a coffee while the other two went to the hairdresser.
then went home and Miri, we rummaged through the other two a music store where it was set down notes, etc.: I curse a clarinet-the-Caribbean-note issue rose XD
wait to rush home before it keeps raining, then off into the pan (after I Miri had settled, was annoyed because the other two 10 minutes had the door must (2 keys for 5 people -> stress) and they are no more with her saying).
After an extensive honey-Schwarzteebad (I ran out of bath products - improvise>) from the PC, painted bissl, chatted, then spaghetti cooked with Knoflsauce and now then at some point to bed - tomorrow we have to begin at 9:00 clock, because we make a "permanent trip" to other digs!
sensed the moment it really solid, I put mich jetzt ins Bett!
Nachti!
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 23 Wow, kein Kater von gestern? Interessant.
Nichts besonders interessantes also. Morgen geht’s allerdings wieder um 6:30 Uhr aus the springs, therefore we are tonight, no more getting old!
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 22 This morning's was already at 9:30 clock out of bed - I could sleep any longer, because the famine plagued me already! So I padded into the kitchen and made pancakes for me and Miri (7 pancakes with one egg! Record?), Which we then enjoyed with butter and maple syrup!
Then rumgechillt all afternoon, did nothing, eventually took a bath, starting at 4 to cook lunch (noodle casserole), eat-on-5 and maintained, came to our guests: We had our Bielefeld Mitausgräber for today invited for dinner and Piri was already the half a day in the kitchen and cook Hungarian goulash! Finally we had Monday also still free! So sleep tomorrow!
wobbled at 19:00 clock so slow everyone to only what we drank and then went off the clock to 20:00 Gefuttere! Amazingly, the crowd fit just so that we all had enough! is soup bowls or soup plates do's with us, unfortunately, do not drum had to halt all with cups, cereal bowls, sugar bowls, milk jug and take even be content! All other
which fed with beer and wine, I would rather have stayed with my grape juice ...
ratchets After a while we came up with the idea to someone, we should get out gehen und ein wenig Ball spielen!
Wie machten Katzenmusik – jeder wollte mal alles ausprobieren – und waren erstaunt, dass the neighbors do not bleating! When the volume had the saxophone ...!
We were all drunk and ... so, accordingly, the mood was cheerful and solved. Piri was always trying to get Marco to beat them with it oO maybe she misses her brothers? I ate ice cream with Met, Miri took photos and we talked. Marco took over the washing up - a real gentleman - while Piri him beaten with a towel ... As well those who had drunk too much?
All went until well after midnight and when the last had finally passed, we went quickly to bed!
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 21 Oh how beautiful it is to get up until 10:00 clock! Then walk around in pajamas all morning until it was finally to rouse to cook something and rumzuschlendern afternoon in the city!
For lunch I cooked risotto for Miri and me - the rest of the shooting match was not found - to gabs salad and half a chicken breast for each n! Tasted very delicious, it tasted even Miri, even though they may not even risotto!
Then we went to Namu (natural human environment - Museum / Natural History Museum) which
in which we reindurften free. There we saw us at the exhibitions (fixed, time travel to the year 2525 and then look back at today in terms of human and environmental
and even minerals) and enjoyed the nice weather.
The exhibitions were very interesting in itself, but rather focused on children. We had fun anyway!
then quickly even looked at the adjacent St. Mary's Church and further into the city.
where we went past the first Deichmann - there was selling out and I needed a new pair of sneakers, which I found to my delight, also for 9.95 €,
then further into the city. We walked around all afternoon, we looked at Bielefeld, peered into various churches into
and ransacked several shops, including a "butler (s?)", In which a running Miri sushi toys rose.
Then we ate at a French restaurant for dinner: each one Tarte and a glass of cider * delicious *
Under this benefit we continued towards cinema: We watched "Prince Caspian" on! A very good film, especially the (male) actors are a delight!
then hurry home, after all, it was schon spät, und noch ein wenig gechattet, dann ab ins Bett!
