excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 15 Friday evening we drove to the train going towards Hameln. With ease we got off the train in wages, where we had to change and after about an hour we arrived at the desired target station! Juchhee!
First a big group cuddle, then transported over Sandra us into their small (charming stone ^ ^) Autochem and drove us to his home.
were there first and foremost, we feed any large portion of spaghetti bolognese! It was good * *
mampf Then we sat down together for a while and told us what we so everything had to be replaced!
tired and we all went to sleep KO - Miri, and I in the guest room a double bed. Middle of the night passed any drunk in the morning I was awakened by the sun, so overall a rather restless Night. When Sandra
gabs then breakfast: bread and tea - we joking around a little, for up to lunch not long wars - then there were fish fingers with potato salad and for dessert, blackberries! * Smack *
Saturated looked like a series Highlander and then broke to Hameln in the inner city.
There, we strolled around a bit - I was browsing the shoe stores for bargains, for my black shoes I can probably in two weeks no longer wear - I found what I was not, however - and finally we sat down in an ice cream parlor and each ate a delicious sundae. Of the Blackberries before, I was still so full that I only took 2 scoops of ice cream, no ice cream around.
Finally, we were still a little back by Hamelin Zuum car and drove past the theater, we had planned to watch that night X-Files II, and bought with them now have the cards!
home at Sandra I looked again a consequence of Highlander (Scottish boys yay * squee *) and we waited, it was time to leave.
Armed with popcorn and drink, we saw the movie * shudder * creepy
Conclusion: too many acts, not enough X! Finally, we then
joking around again for Sandra, and decided to end more than two old X-Files - Follow to see it until well after midnight then we crawled into our beds.
- For me as a non-X-Files fan might be a little much of it in one evening, but I must say when I'm in horror mood, I can imagine with quite me to see even the odd episode of this series! -
Sunday morning gabs again played a big breakfast, then we have a little poker - and I tried to explain this to our other two - thank you Wikipedia - Then There Were lunch (potatoes, beans and turkey). Then we looked
"Night Watch" (oi. .. now that I've read the book, I " worlds to be better understood than it was in the cinema!), again went one lap and had to walk through Afferde finally break the evening then again.
All in all it was a very fun and nice weekend! Maybe we do it again this week?
With more luck than sense we made our connecting train in wages after several stop on the tracks and even one change in a Ersatzzug, we treated, in Bielefeld at the station still fast (Happy Meal! There's now even the option to garden salad! "With Nintendogs Plush! wuffwaffjiepjiieep * *) and finally hurried home, where we us again soon laid to rest
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 13
beep beep beep beep - so I ripped this morning my alarm clock rudely from sleep. Half asleep, I staggered into the kitchen and sat me on a porridge.
Since we are only until noon Friday - 12:30 clock do so, I had to lubricate today no bread, and so went the whole morning a little more comfortable.
Fluchtartig verzogen wir uns darum in den Bauwagen and waited there in there until the storm had passed. I mapfte my porridge and sink playing with fish Miri Offer aka ships!
subsided as the rain, we went back to the cart: Half the site had turned into muddy lakes, including our claim! Only a small hill looking out!
We grabbed wet and listless our wet, muddy gloves and began to pay off this mountain. After some time the sun came out again, but not early enough that we would observe the 30% solar eclipse can be held today from 10:45 clock.
Well, the water dried and we always worked before on. We found many bone fragments and some fragments, including striped and green glazed!
cleared yet we wet our units at 12:15 pm as best I could, then went to Miri and I are in town to eat.
At the station we found a Subway and fed us there, each with a send Terriaki wrap and a cookie! * * Mjam
Then it's off to home and in the hot tub!
I indulged a muscle bath and now I'm packing my bags for the trip to Hamelin!
Miri and I visit since a friend! Therefore I will also write an entry again until Sunday, maybe even Monday!
then!
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 12
Again Miri woke me this morning with the cabinet door, just before my alarm clock rang. Somehow I have to either adjust their views, or my clock ...
We prepared as usual before, drove car and panted up the mountain. At the top we saw the first large excavator a little too - fascinating these things * *
laughing Then we started to create our Claims: Miri and I still dug away the last remnants of the brick corner. We found another nail, a piece of something that had been identified as a whistle. By the way this was the "pearl", which we found on day 4 and some gray "ceramic piece! Wow!
Then we went a little on the right side of our claims to create - we wanted to start to go one layer deeper!
I scratched a little on the wall around, happy, energized today to have long pants, otherwise I would have chafed namely the knees!
The little radio that we had bought yesterday has indeed no good reception - at least not when it is loud - but for our purposes it is enough already! Only the channel selected here is a bit strange ... So we constantly adjust stop the channels to find what appropriate!
Then it was finally time for the morning break. Meanwhile it was already well over 25 degree heat and I sweat ran in rivulets down the back!
All except Miri and I sat back on the outer wall of the castle, on one side of it is a good 20 feet down - so I do not, Miri has not even tried it ...
I then climbed onto another, smaller piece of the wall that stands in the middle of the yard and ate my porridge, while Miri turn down in the shade eating.
Then we went into the blazing sun on to our section and hoped that at last came the shadows to us! But before it happened, came over Mary and said that we have now but should take a lunch break - it was already over now 30 ° C hot!
We sat in the meadow in front of the tower - right next to a group of French exchange student! One of them asked me - probably for a bet - "Can I please have your dog?" * Giggle * Well, he thought my hat, which I told him then a few moments borrowed - just so long as he needed a to shoot a photo of yourself!
We fought during the meal but the attacks some wasp, after all, the whole was quite peaceful - I started a sticky porridge in my bucket, Miri lured the other with a banana peel!
After the somewhat extended lunch break, during which I had me a cuddly vampire bat bought the castle stand - a plush keepsake - came Maria with a Schreckensnachrit us:
She had eaten during we had with the dentist (Dr. Best ;-)) unterhelten and they both had decided that our section and yet are not important! We would have to move to another and then dig! Oo
Adieu, Claim 1!
for today but we should have put an end - Heat Free!
We granted so our stuff together and then watched intently as the archway under Piris and Marcos claim was dredged from the bottom and finally pierced!
The time was interesting!
Well, we already halted at 14:00 clock workday. Piri and Sophia went straight home, while other three went to the city to give us personal hygiene stuff zuzulegen - from the limestone soil is my skin all dry and flaky * IRGs *
Then we went home, relax in the shower and a little bit. Then I went and Miri - armed with a shopping list and buy a "borrowed" shopping cart!
packed full - and the car was full - we came back home, unpacked and began to demonstrate to us a matter of Mach Pizza! * Yummi *
When she finished, she came into the oven, then on the table * yummy * Now
- fed and knock - we enjoy a bit of the cool evening breeze and will be issued soon in our beds!
excavation Bielefeld - Sparrenburg - Day 11
Today I wake up for once, not * on by the beeping of my alarm clock, but the fact that Miri next to my head the cabinet door opens * knarrrrz
Well, it was ich wenigstens schnell wach!
Nun, Maria setzte sie zu uns in den Claim – eigentlich sitzen wir ja inzwischen all right in a pit * giggle * - and showed them a little bit. The rest they left us.
First we asked ourselves mutually exclusive: Her name is Kirsten comes from a Nachbarsort of Bielefeld and would either Archaeology study or physics. Therefore, she thought, she makes here but with time n day and see how it is!
She looked up to us a bit, as you dig, then, and until the breakfast break, we had already done a good bit!
We sat down to third in the shade and ate breakfast first. We learned a few words about each other, but after some time came Dr. Best - "The Zahnarzt“ - aka unser Archäologe und besprach einiges mir Maria.
Und zwei kleine grüne glasartige Stücke We have also scraped from the mortar! Why not? The three
is the work progressing much faster and we have, as it is finally time for lunch already made a pretty big piece!
We are now all on the grass in the sun today, it's pretty hazy, so no danger of sunburn! - And eat our sandwiches (and I licking the rest meinnes Porridge * *). Then get Katrina, Miri and I ever need an ice cream - black forest cherry Cornet! Hmmmm!
During the afternoon we made it to third and remove it under a lot of laughter, almost all the rest of the current layer! Wow! I would have expected to Friday at the earliest that we're done, but 3 pairs of hands, of course, create much more than just 2!
Our "wall" we're just leave, even though we have such a thick layer of brick found again - let's see what comes of it?
When it is time to knock off, go the other three and Kirsten home quickly, Miri and I still go into town and buy a radio. After the exhibit, and it is missing the battery door, we get a little gray Radiolein for only 2 €, instead of 6,99 €! A real bargain!
Then we drive to the station and buy tickets for the weekend we want to go visit a friend in Hamelin! That'll be fun!
Well, at home, we quickly jump into the shower, Sophia cooked omelette with vegetables, or so something was quite indefinable ...
Now it already really late and my bed calls ... Good night!
